My son overdosed on methadone. He was taking high doses and is now in a coma in the hospital. He did not get it legal from a clinic.

Thank you for your answer. He also had a massive heart attack and an infection in his lungs. The doctors say to watch and wait and take it day to day. It is in God's hands. I lit a candle from the link you sent. That is the why I think it is the best answer.

only your doctor and god knows the answer to this question. Being in a coma is not a good sign. It is possible that he will come out of the coma. But there's bound to be a significant change in him as a person, because of the coma.

I know that this is terrible for you. I wish I could give you positive answers, but you need to go over this with your medical doctor. Basically it's a wait and see scenario.

I've enclosed a link where you can light a candle and say a prayer. I think you will find this comforting.

My thoughts are with you,

That's based on the dosage he took, how quickly it was discovered and what other drugs he took with the methadone like Valium or Xanax. I'm sure he will recover completely since he is under a doctor care now. The one other thing you'll have to worry about is since he didn't get it legally the doctor will have to report it to the authorities. Good Luck
