You make a lot of assumptions. Look at poor Richard Brautigan. Now he used to talk that way. Oh how he yearned to regain his freedom. Then one day he died of a heart attack. His wife was in Japan. He had six big dogs, and they got hungry. Real hungry. And do you know what they did to poor Richard? Huh?
Well, maybe it's better if you DON'T know...because I don't want you looking at your dog like he's some kind of heathen with no values,no decency, one of those anything-to-survive types. No. But if that IS the way you feel about that poor animal well just give him to a kid who will love him, instead of futilely waiting for him to get get a job or go to college.
Sometimes you utter the most shameless things.

is he a puppy??? when you talk to him what does he say? is he happy at home.. does he get to run and do stuff he likes??..... i think your dog if he is a pup.. will leave when he feels he needs his own space.. maybe get a job or a career with the police as a police dog or something..or at the air port ..who knows ..then he can raise a family of pups him self.. you will know when he wants to move out ..barking and when he goes out side he may make a run for it .. good luck and to your dog

Depends. If you let your dog outside without his leash, he may find a new home this week.
