We'll be going to warnambool, victoria this week and we're planning to stay at a motor inn. Is there a need to book online or not? When staying at a motor inn, which is better - online booking or direct booking?

wotif.com and all the other travel portals only provide information about accommodation. Yes, they offer online bookings but 90% of the time, they do not give the best and the cheapest rates. Middlemen job. Tip: Always book directly to the official hotel website. It's cheaper with less hassle.

I use http://www.wotif.com for a lot of bookings. It is convenient, and sometimes has some great deals (although a lot of places will match the online deals if you ask). Online you get a bit of info about the place as well.

I would definitely pre-book one way or the other, because it is a long weekend up in QLD this weekend and it may be busier than usual...
