Can't they tell the difference? I didn't know Unitarians were opposed to birth control, and I never knew Catholic priests breath hellfire & damnation.

They can't tell the difference and know no better.

Can't you tell the difference there are many types of atheists? Why did you attack all types of atheists?

By the way, Christianity should be a religion, meaning, they follow the same rules. If you tell me each different denomination can create their own interpretation, you call that the truth? The Truth = whichever the pastor says?

I do not attack all branches of the Christian church, they are mostly harmless now, especially the Church of England. It is OK to have strange beliefs.

However the fundamentalists are very different because they are attacking the core of reality. It is alright to use myths as explanations but when they override reality itself.... And then they have the audacity to try to force the rest of us into their madness.

Unitarians call themselves Unitarians. Fundamentalist Christians call themselves Christian and would not apply the term to Catholics or Unitarians.

I have heard that Fundamentalist are people who interpret the Bible literally sometime. The believe the Genesis account of creation is literal but when hou get off on many other points they will say it was a metaphor.

I'm an agnostic and I'm pretty much tolerant of moderate Christians.

It's the fundies and ones who feel the need to push their religion on others who bear the brunt of my sarcasm. Why? Because if they had their way, life would get very brutal for non-Christians and even Christians who are more liberal than they are.

Then may i suggest that you fix it.It is your kindred who are constantly attacking others, forcing their beliefs into every portion of our lives .If you are not standing up against them, then you are part of the problem.I am sorry if you are offended by us,but you have to realize that everybody has a right to live their lives as they see fit.Just because some obscure line in a moldy text makes some of your brothers go crazy,it is YOUR job to calm them down....I can tell you, they wont listen to anyone else,at least you stand a chance of talking them down

Maybe atheists expose fundie christians and their beliefs because the other branches of christianity will not check their fundie brethren.

Maybe atheists expose the ridiculous arguments that fundie christians use to support their position.

Because some people are just angry at Christianity in general and lump them all together.

Also, all atheists don't generalize. So.. uh don't generalize about generalizing.

I believe the common denominator here would be Jesus Christ. He is the stumbling block.
