I won't ever say never, but yes. A number of these types and the "going to hell crowd" show me little in the way of true compassion, respect or manners.
Some seem to have a method or a formula religion but lack any soul for relating to other people. A couple are actually trolls and some are members of a particular religious group and play off each other. The list goes on and there are many similar situations among non-Christians on R&S.
I have absolutely nothing against telling anyone what Jesus has done for me; but it should relate to the question and be my best effort to respond. In short the idea is to hold Jesus up and not put people down.
I am sorry that you have found some of these responses rude. I can't say it will get better; so I'll leave you with the old medical solution:
Take two aspirin and call me in the morning.

Is mentioning the Lord offensive to you? You might want to find another religion, if He is. Would you not agree that people who aren't saved need to find Jesus? He did say "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me." If people go to Hell because they die in their sins, never having asked Jesus to forgive them, don't you think they should be made aware of this fact?

Miss Anthropist,
I never try to tell someone who is not a Christian to pray. I only speak to someone about the Bible who asks about it. I really do not want to turn you or anybody else off to their religious viewpoint. I mainly come here to answer Biblical Questions that I know the answer to. I especially like the way that you worded this question. You were very polite and to the point. I appreciate that in you. Have a wonderful evening and a glorious weekend.
Thank you,
Eds

I think people who say this type of thing , at-least when I say it I mean it to be the best advice that I can give . What if you knew someone dying of a disease and you knew a doctor who could cure it , Would you tell that person about that doctor?? Well I believe that God can handle anything and everything no matter how big or small . So if I can't help you I would want the only person I knew who could help to do so.

I like your name.
Um, I think it is insensitive and possibly rude. I am a Christian and I get attacked on the street by people trying to save me. I think the irritation comes when Christians want to "save" someone without knowing or even personally liking them. I feel that it is my responsibility to earn someone's respect before I ask them to consider adopting my views.

If you're going to look at it that way, then all answers should be expert answers and you should have to site your credentials including any state license you hold as say a psycholigist or medical doctor. Those without credentials should have their answers removed.
Any opinioin is an opinion and any opinion can rub a person the wrong way.

Yes. There are many among us that are pushy and rude. Forgive them, they know not what they do. And how stupid they look when they do that. They mean well, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I am with Mother Teresa, on this. Whatever your religion, be a good one.
Peace.

It bothers me. I'm all for leaving everyone to do their own religious thing. I only say God Bless You to other Christian answers who seem to throw it around ( and aren't being very Christ -like).

I think it's appalling behavior, and I believe it is largely if not entirely confined to fundamentalists. Even Catholics don't do that, what to speak of normal Protestants.

The Bible tells us to lead non-Christians to God. Should we just say, 'continue praying to your false gods.'? I know we shouldn't shove it down their throats, and i'm doing my best not to...i'm sorry you feel that way.
