And do the mormons really own Pepsi? Where can I find a list of companies in my area that the mormons own? For example, if someone wanted to support a Mormon business in Fresno, CA how would I find a list of Mormon businesses in that area?

Collectivley as a church, mormons own no businesses, especially not pepsi. As far as individual members, i don't think there is a list. I don't know anyone who advertises by religion, but mose ward members have an idea of what people do for livings within their stake. Just ask around, I'm sure people will know for your area. The big dogs though i think the comment before me covered alot of the ones that are owned by individual members.

I've not heard the 7-11 is Mormon owned, but there are a lot of businesses that I don't know who owns them. As for caffeine, it's not against the Word of Wisdom. I drink caffinated sodas all the time, and it's not a problem. Ad for condoms, alcohol, and cigarettes, that's a personal choice of the seller and the buyer. If I owned a business, I don't think I would sell those types of items, but that's my personal choice. As for Kroger and Albertson's, that could be a corporate decision that the Board of Trustees made. And while I don't know for sure, I'm guessing that the Board isn't all Mormon.

I think that the church divested itself of most of the businesses it held for so long. I think Bonneville Communications and maybe ZCMI, I don't know that they own many others. Beneficial Life, I think.

But not Pepsi, Coke, or any others like that. That might be because A&W Root Beer was started by the Marriotts, who are Mormons.

Pepsi is a publicly traded company, so I doubt the majority of its shareholders are Mormon.

Here's a list I found.
