Sounds like major stress! This happens to me sometimes. The stress may be life events or it may be illness.

First, practice good sleep hygiene. Go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time. 8 hours. Every day. It helps keep your mind regulated.

Practice deep breathing. Slow down.

Make a list of everything that's in your head jumbling around. Then prioritize your list and do only the important things.

Learn to say NO to things for a while.

Finally, if this continues for more than a week, see your doctor asap. There are a lot of medical reasons why this could happen.

I think you answered your own question. You are too busy to de-stress. You need to knock off some of your schedual even if it means letting some people down. You are important. Take a personal "hiding day". Just call in sick (because it sounds like you are), turn off you house phone, cell phone and pager. Turn off the net and then go outside. I find it calming to go hiking, or go to the zoo. You just play hookie for a day. Write down everything you think you have to do before you go out to play. The next day look at your list and decide what is really important. Then do only those things. Life will always provide you with ample opportunities to work your guts out. Make sure you provide ample time to play hard too.

Ever considered Attention Deficit Disorder? It's a serious disorder that some people have. It could also be stress, that happens a lot with really busy people, maybe you should take a break from those obligations so you can meet those obligations.

it could be stress of everything just coming at you at once.
just relax,
think of the most important thing in your life and focus on it,
then slowly focus on one thing at a time,
write it down on paper
or just say it out loud first
anything to get your mind unscrambled
