We have DISH, everyone says DirecTV works better, but the dish has never gone out, it's easy to use, and it's pretty cheap. I like it better then our old Comcast Digital Cable

The quality wise, all three are pretty much the same. I mean the difference is only noticible by really hard core videophile. As for the service, I'll go with digital cable since their menu comes on really quick.. It doesn't download like satellite based system. I've tried dish network and direct dish and FIOS fiber cable. I like FIOS because there's no lag time for the menu to download. I do notice that FIOS hasn't worked out all the bugs out of their cable system. Once the video came out really crappy on all channel and they had to reset the cable box remotely. Comparing that to all the bad weather related dish system not able to receive signal. I'll have to vote digital cable being superior.

Had Dish and loved it except when we had a heavy rain. Cablevision Digital cable came to the neighborhood with phone and high speed internet service and HD for a reasonable price. Very happy. My only complaint is that Dish had a great feature that cable doesn't offer. With Dish you could program the guide for your favorite channels to surf what you want. I get all the HD channels on cable. I am still amazed sometimes of how great the picture looks on the HDTV set. No matter what you decide on upgrade to the DVR box. This is the "Digital Video Recorder". They all have it. Cablevision charges $10 a month. This is known as "tivo".
Try it and you are hooked. Record any program you want at any time and watch it when you want.

Digital Cable. I recommend Verizon FiOS. I have it and it works great. Plus I was just at Chili's, which has dish, and there was a storm. Then, the TV stopped working. But like 10 minutes later the power went out, so it doesn't really matter anyway.

Get digital.

I'd have to say that all depends on where you live. I've had all three services. In my area, Comcast's Digital Cable is garbage. It breaks up, goes out, does all the things that their commercials claim satellite does.

In my area, we don't get DirectTV very well for some reason, but we do pick up DISH very well and I love it. I have the HiDef package that also comes with a free subscription for Sirius Music which has been awesome. So far my DISH has NEVER gone out, even the other night when it rained heavily. I know it's supposed to cut out, but it didn't!

I'd ask your neighbors closest to you what they have and how they like it. That's how I learned about DISH. Good luck!
