Has anyone ever had something called Italian Wedding Cake, and if so, is it good?

Our reception is at an Italian restaurant, and my Dad suggested that we have "Italian wedding cake." The recipe looks good, but I want your opinion on how it tastes.

I guess it would depend on what kind you had. The first link lists several different types of Italian Wedding Cakes that would be delicious.

The second link is for a recipe for Italian Wedding Cake that contains coconut which I can't tolerate.

I tried it on Christmas. It was soo yummy that is what we are doing instead of a traditional wedding cake. You can buy it at Sam's Club. If you like cheesecake you will like the one that doesn't have fruit in it. I personally think it is now my favorite cake!!!!!!!

YUM YUM!!!! Ask your baker for a test sample first to make sure it is up to scratch. Good thinking on your dad's part!

It's fabulous, top notch. Ask for a tasting in advance, they often do that.
