The truth is "that which is the case"...

Sometimes the truth can be understood...sometimes it cannot.
Sometimes the truth is so simple that people make up things that they call truth, but which is not the case.
Sometimes the truth is so complex that people make up things that they call truth, but which is not the case.

In any case, the truth is "that which is the case."

There is no single definition of truth about which the majority of philosophers agree. Many theories of truth, commonly involving different definitions of "truth", continue to be debated. There are differing claims on such questions as what constitutes truth; how to define and identify truth; what roles do revealed and acquired knowledge play; and whether truth is subjective, relative, objective, or absolute. This article introduces the various perspectives and claims, both today and throughout history.

Truth is termed 'Sathyam'. It is said 'Sathyam Nasthi Paro Darmaha' meaning there is nothing greater than Truth. Sai Baba used to say, that From truth the world came, with truth it is sustained and in truth it merges. Truth is the highest virtue, Truth is highest penance. In fact there is nothing but Truth in the entire world.

TRUTH IS GOD AND GOD IS THE ONLY TRUTH.(AS PER HINDUISM ESPECIALLY). OTHER THAN GOD EVERYTHING IS AN EFFECT OF HIS ILLUSORY ENERGY.LORD KRISHNA SAYS: "I AM THE TRUTH IN THE TRUTHFUL". HENCE TRUTH IS BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THE TRUTH BE IT GOD OR THE RELATIVE OR WORLDLY TRUTH. SPEAKING TRUTH GIVES ME PEACE; KEEPING TRUTH TO MYSELF MAKES ME FEEL STIFLED AND UNHAPPY. IT MAKES ME FEEL COWARDLY AND HYPOCRITICAL.TRUTH IS GOOD. I DONT THINK IT CAN HARM ANYONE. PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT TRUTH MUST BE HIDDEN OR VARNISHED ACCORDING TO OCCASION KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE BEAUTY OF TRUTH BECAUSE THEY HAVENT REALLY FOLLOWED IT. ONLY THOSE WHO R TRUTHFUL KNOW THE BEAUTY OF TRUTH. TRUTH IN A RELATIVE OR WORLDLY SENSE MEANS NOT USING DECIETOR ANYTHING THAT GIVES A FALSE IMPRESSION, BEING PLAIN AND SIMPLE WHILE SPEAKING THE TRUTH AND BELIEVING IN THE TRUTH IRRESPECTIVE OF THE CONSEQUENCES. ITS MANS DUTY TO SPEAK AND DO THAT THAT WHICH HE IS SURE IS TRUE AND RIGHT AND THIS IS HONESTY.

There are two types.

1)The reality
2)The truth

1) The reality is always going on changing. (e.g.Today is Thursday)

2) The truth never changes (e.g.We all must die one day)

When a `reality` never changes; it is `truth`

You can not manipulate truth. It is beyond our reach. So it is Devine. The truth is God.

truth is that, which shall be acceptable to every one on this earth who want to question it, up to the mark of their satisfaction. in other words, every one must be able to believe in it once they are told abt it. I believe, SCIENCE is only the truth. it can be experienced and felt by any body who wishes to!! Thus, anything, when put to discussion, can be called as truth only if it has a scientific basis....
