omgosh, you have the same type of hair as me.....well, I just decided to try something new with my hair.....so because of the curls and wanting to boost curlage to the max, I got layers all over - short layers, to increase volume. I made sure my hair was still around shoulder length, and I got side bangs that I can straighten them, or let them be curly, or use the curling iron on them.....so yeah....it's a really nice situation...although I suggest for a red-head that you don't use dyes or streaks or highlights.....the reason being, it completely fries your curls and then you are left with frizzy waves......and it takes almost two years to completely grow out....so yeah.....and then get some frizz-control shampoo, and some 24/7 creme, and you're good to go....mousse is good too :D hope this helps
