If an immigrant has an American Green Card can he be forced to go back to his home country for owing money?

Obligations can be enforced even in other countries under the law. Thus, an immigrant can be served with summons to answer the payments of his debts but not necessarily be forced to go back to his country of origin as long as payments could be made.
