Yeah i would get it professionally done but my parents want approve i need it homemade... I'm african American and i want pink or red streaks lol

lol as a black girl....with strict parents when i was in high school i used "black cherry kool-aid" and did red highlights....and they washed out after a while...but didn't dry my hair out...i know it's ghetto and lame sounding BUT, it worked and you don't have to bleach your hair first...
you just take the kool-aid and mix it with a little conditioner and put the streaks in and then wash them out after like 10 or so minutes!!!
just try it....it's fun....make sure you don't mix too much conditioner..and wear gloves or else you'll dye your hands!

go to a salon to get it professionally done, since as ur hair is black it may have to be bleached before red or pink can go on it

i've heard a packet of Jell-o mix works for that but I've never done it myself.
