I don't have a choice any more if I want to find a girl. I failed at on-line dating, my friends won't fix me up and I don't know any single women my age (21). I have to approach some young women I don't know at my favorite hang-outs. Do I even have a slim chance in finding a date? Do women actually date men they meet in public or just those they meet through friends? Does anyone think I shouldn't even try?

Not at all!! You can meet woman anywhere, but coffee shops are a great place. The atmosphere is usually relaxing and laid back and people are not expecting to meet someone, so it's perfect. You may even find a young student. She might be studying alone? Make sure you pick the right location, a shop that usually attracts a younger crowd. Good luck!

Most guys problems with women are initiating a conversation.....say for instance you are in a grocery store and see a pretty girl you would like to meet( preferably one with no ring on her finger)...go up to her and stop being a *&*@......u will never meet anyone if you let those moments go by....YOUR 21 MAN>.....also..get a gym membership if you don't have one and USE it....cuz if ur 21 and having this problem...im sure theres more to the situation you haven't told us about

Of course you should get out there and mingle. When I was single I often met men in public places and ended up meeting them later for coffee or something.
You're not going to find anyone sitting at home dreaming about them. You need to get out there and look for yourself. Good luck!

what is your problem you are so young you have all your life ....if i was 21 i would meet you in a coffee shop really.....i am in my 50's my life is just beginning....there are so many people out there....trust me...

Find a girl that you think looks nice and say can i buy you a drink... that will either pick her up or you will just feel stupid. good luck. and yes i think oyu should try... i got my leg amputated, and i asked this guy out (I dont even have a prosthetic yet) and he said yes!!!!!!!!!!! So now i am going out with the hottest guy in band!!!!!!!!!! yay!! PLEASE TRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=D
