I am helping my sister plan a low cost wedding and we have most of the stuff figured out,but thought I'd ask if anyone else had any other helpful ideas? They are having the ceremony at a Knights of Columbus outside pavillion where the reception can be held right afterwards. It's perfect to have an outside wedding and reception at the same time so there's no giving directions to the reception hall, lol, not to mention the money saver it is.A guy I work with DJs on the side so he's agreed to do me a favor and cut me a deal, and there's more than enough family to make the food. It's going to be a semi-small wedding so there's no problem there.Besides the pavillion rental fee, minister fee, invitations, food, DJ,and table toppers is there anything else we are forgetting? There's so much to plan and figure out and with a small budget you tend to forget about the other little things. Can anyone think of anything else I have left out of my "to do list"?Websites would also be appreciated, thanks!!!

FYI: It's not going to be a dry wedding, knowing my in laws and step side of my family, but it will more than likely be a BYOB type deal. We will supply the wine/champeign for the wedding party though.

I would look for a book called How to Plan a Big Wedding on Small Budget.

I didnt see anything about flowers...a long stemmed rose is the most elegant looking bouquet in my eyes. Maybe the bride would care a few roses dressed up a bit. How about decorations? paper table clothes...a tealight floating in a rose bowl or maybe a rose in each rose bowl or better yet my favorite idea...a little fish swimming in the rose bowl at each table. Theknot.com is a good site with good ideas for a low cost wedding.

Oh I forgot cake had to come back...Walmart makes the best tasting wedding cakes and they are so much cheaper then a bakery. Friend just got married and paid like $130 for a cake that served 100 people. It was so good and beautiful.

Go to www.weddingchannel.com or www.theknot.com. Both sites have checklists and planning guides that will help with things you're not thinking of. Not everything on there will be necessary, but there may be some helpful suggestions.

If it's outdoor, you might want to think about providing bug spray or something for your guests to help them be more comfortable. Make sure you have plenty of ice in coolers and enough cups, etc. As long as you have enough food and drinks, people will be happy. Does the pavilion provide tables and chairs as part of the rental fee? If not, make sure you have provided enough chairs for people to sit down and eat. I went to a small 'do it yourself' wedding reception recently, and they had not rented enough chairs, or even rented any tables, and it was miserable for all the guests.

Good luck!

merely keep prepared. Use an information superhighway gadget or spreadsheet to maintain each little thing at the same time. i've got had distributors tell me I must be a planner with how prepared i'm for my wedding ceremony. i'm no longer able to have the money for a planner and our expenditures are approximately $18k and that i'm attempting to diminish lower back everywhere i will. Staying prepared and centred is all you relatively ought to do. make a determination and circulate directly to the subsequent ingredient. do no longer 2d wager your self in the different case you will purchase 5 wedding ceremony robes you "somewhat love".
