Just this evening I started getting pain on one side of my jaw. I do have the tendency to grind my teeth and it's the side where my teeth touch more (I haven't been wearing my night guard as often as I should). So it could be my jaw that hurts. But it's possible it's a tooth too. I plan on calling the dentist tomorrow if it continues. I've taken some Tylenol, but what else can I do tonight? Can I use heat? Or should it be cold?

Depends on what type of pain it is. If it feels like you have a sore of some sort, rinse with salt water, and keep with the tylenol. If its swollen, then use ice. And if it is just sore, try heat. Don't chew on that side of your mouth, because you could make the pain worse if its a cavity or in need of a root canal. Other than that, there isn't much you can do, besides see you dentist asap!
