How do you hook a older surround sound up to a new HD TV flatscreen there is no place for the speaker wires.?

Most HDTVs have a pair of RCA outputs (Red/white) for analog output and digital audio output for digital output.
You can't connect speakers directly. You connect these outputs to an AV Receiver and then you connect your speakers to the AV receiver.
