"Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting" (Romans 1:27-28)

In February, the bishops of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, meeting in Tanzania, issued a virtual ultimatum to the member churches who want to include active homosexuality in the life of the church. .

They are certainly in accord with 1 Tim 4:3 → "For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories."

Some feel that the Bible message against homosexuality is outdated and restrictive. They reason that man, not God, is telling them how to feel and live. So they reject whatever it is that they don't want to hear and embrace what's right in their own eyes. No doubt they will feel the "full recompense for their error" at Armageddon. (Pro 21:2; Isa 5:20; Rom 1:27)

Romans 1 is one of my favorite chapters. You have to forgive me if I digress here but everyone has alread covered the issue rather well. How about verses 18-25

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.

Athiest, agnostics and idolators have no excuse. They know there is a God but chose to suppress the truth.

But notice many churches choose to ignore this too. Some clergy will tell you that the bible is not literal. Some will tell you that Yahshua is not God in fact that he is a myth. John in 1 John 2:22 that a person that denies Yashiah is the Messiah denies both the Father and the Son and is an antichrist. 1 John 4:3 That if they deny Yahshua is from God then they have a spirit of antichrist. These are their teachers.

And yes I agree with an earlier post. The church has chosen to ignore food laws, sabbaths, commands against idolitry and so on. They pretend that they have been nailed to the cross but that is not what Yahshua said. They claim Peter or Paul had the authority to change times or law and yet no where does it say that. It is time to repent dear brothers. We all know time is short. Time to start walking the walk and not just talking the talk.

You know, I have been following this issue off and on in the Anglican church, well more specifically the Epicopalian church here in the U.S. who are supporting the active homosexual people in their church and clergry. People like to make it seem that the Bible wasn't talking about homosexuality like we know it today, but those verses you just mentioned show that really isn't the case at all.

The even argue that homosexuals did not make a conscious decision to be that way, so it must be natural. They are born that way—just as all of us are born with a sin nature and sinful desires (Ephesians 2:1– ). Tell them that it is natural for them, and for all of us, to be tempted to do things that God says are wrong. In the same way, pedophiles and adulterers (alcoholics, drug addicts, etc.) don’t make a conscious decision to "choose" that self-destructive lifestyle, they simply give in to their sinful desires. However, although sin is natural for unbelievers, that doesn’t mean God wants them to remain that way. God can set them free from their sinful nature (Romans 7:23–8:2), give them new desires (Ephesians 4:22–24), and help them withstand temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13).

the Apostle Paul was confronted by the resurrected Yhshua/Jesus for persecuting the early Christian congregation. As it turned out (and Jesus surely knew) Paul became one of the greatest followers of Yhshua/Jesus and servant of "the only true God" YHWH/Jehovah (John 17:3) especially since he was such a voracious persecuter and also an extremely educated man with great writing skills.

satan has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so thoroughly in these "last days" that the world has been brainwashed to think homosexuality is ok.

You will actually find homosexual religions nowadays that say Paul never recieved God's Holy Spirit which inspired him to write the majority of the NT!

and also since Paul said the head of Christ is God, the head of every Man is Christ and the head of every Woman is Man, the feminist movement has joined forces with the homosexual movement to have Paul's Scriptures discredited.

Very annoying!!!!!!!!!! particular, it occurred to me a 12 months in the past with a former Yahoo identification. question: "Which comes first: poultry or egg?" My answer: "poultry (alphabetical order!)" yet another answerer used my same answer once I submitted it. His became chosen proper answer. became out to be a collection of two persons who had a sprint sport going the place she might pose a question; he might answer; and no count how inane (or insane) the respond, his may well be chosen for the ten factors. An occasion -- she asked the question: "Who invented the 24 hour day?" He replied "Rolex proprietor", and he or she chosen that as proper answer.

churches these days are too scared to say do,s and dont,s cause they don,t want to loose people.they want to look good by having a lot of followers.they don,t really care if that person enters heaven or hell.but they should care cause for every lost soul the priests or pasters will be accountable to God.also the more followers the more money in their pokets.and todays churchers are not on fire for God and His truth. To majority of people it.s all about show.(look i go to church or i,am a priest i,m godly but to which god do they trully belong)

Royal Racer is referring to a time before Adam and Eve.
In the beginning God made the heavens and the earth, PERIOD. Then He destroyed the earth with a worldwide flood (not Noah's) . Then the bible starts with Genesis and creates The races of people on the 6th day and on the eighth day(2 days later) He creates the Jewish race IE Adam and Eve and they were the last race to be created and Adam's children took these 6th day creations to wife therefore there was no incest or inbreeding involved. Am I correct RR ?

I don't know what "1st world age" is supposed to mean, but Romans is a NT Book, so it must mean these verses were written after Jesus already died for man's sins. I would call such an age the "current age."

People ignore or distort verses in the Bible to fit agendas that they hold in higher regard than the Bible. One is supposed to take one's worldview from the Bible by reading *out* of it, not reading *into* it what one wants to see.

Because the "official" Anglican Communion has fallen so far away from the "faith once delivered" that they can't seem to find their way back.

Thanks be to God for the faithful Bishops in Africa and Asia who have said "enough is enough"!

Is it really that much of a surprise? The scripture says "God gave them over to their own depravity" Churches will be guilty of the same sin, and God will give them over as well. The end of organized churhes as we know them is coming... it will be where God separates the wheat from the chaff.

and we continue to pray :)

blessings :)
