Depends on state laws. I think you are talking about www.driversed.com. In Oklahoma, if you're under 18 the course can be taught by parents or guardians. They have to sign an affidavit saying you completed 36 hours of training. You still have to take the written and driver's test

Depends upon your age and the state where you live. In most states if you're 18 or over, you only need to pass the written, eye, and on-the-road tests. Keep in mind though that without a formal driver's ed course, you WILL pay a hefty premium for insurance until you turn 25. The first-year savings in insurance alone can more than pay for a commercial driving school.
If you're under 18, it will depend heavily upon what state you live in. Many require certification of completion of a driver's ed course and so many hours of on-the-road instruction and experience. If you live in TX, for example, there is NO WAY around the class and on-the-road instruction. Your folks can't even teach you to drive unless they buy a state-approved instructional kit that costs about $300.

I have heard this before, but can't verify accuracy. Most driving schools let you use one of their cars to take the driving test. I suggest calling the RMV and finding out first hand. This may be a rule that isn't enforced.

Depends on what state. In Virginia you can walk in and get your license once you turn 19. Otherwise you need the class.
