Jesus is love. Why can't people accept that?

How about if we don't waste our breath on arguing about the truth. Let's teach the others who don't believe that there is more to life than coming in r&s just to hate Christ. Something brought them here maybe they are really looking for Him. They know he's real in their hearts but are too proud to admit it. He loves each of you just let Him in your hearts. I promise you'll have more peace than you've ever imagined once you fill that God sized hole in your heart. Peace!!

Dearest Linda, indeed it's rare to find such nice words dealing with such a hard subject and hard people. I am assuming you are young so I will pick my words carefully. You may know this already, if so I will reaffirm for you the following. There are only two types of people on the earth, one group is the children of God an the others are the children of the wicked one. The latter group will not except any form of truth, be it Jesus, the Bible, Prayer, healing, etc... However they do with great desire follow, except, embrace any form of a lie. Eostara is love too. She's real in my heart. She loves all of us. She isn't going to torture most of the planet. She doesn't want her worshippers to pray for the world to end. You have to decide if some of the practices common to most Christians aren't actually evil. I know you will say She is 'false'. Do you really think all other faiths are 'false' except for yours? That makes you 99% Atheist. The human spirit either exists or it doesn't. It cannot only exist for your faith and no one else's. Think about that too. Which is more like love: tolerance, acceptance, affection for differences, or intolerance, the demand for conformity, and the idea of unbending Authority? You might consider how some of your beliefs are extremist in nature. Extremists are dangerous people. That doesn't make you look like a good guy. Cults use extremist logic to bend their worshippers into a narrow shape. Maybe your faith is a cult?

Ever heard the saying "Each to his own". That's how I feel on this topic. I don't hate christ, I just don't believe in christ. You know, I think it's great that you have found something in your life to believe in and that gives you peace. It's just not for me. I don't want to argue with christians, I just want to get along with christians and everyone else out there.

this is incredibly narrowminded and you know it. jesus is love for some people, some peopel find him a phoney. "They know he's real in their hearts but are too proud to admit it." what kind of a statement is that? i don't beleive jesus is the savior but i am not too proud to admit it. i just don't beleive one man can be everything that is good and holy. think about who you might be offending first. think about how christianity isn't the only way. think about how theres those of us who are perfectly happy without jesus. your brianwashed. i feel bad for you. but its not your fault you were brought up like that. you're not going to like this answer, but why post such a stupid quesiton when you know you'll get answers like this. i'm only 13. theres goign to be those that go "what a poor, hell bent little girl" and then there will be those that are open minded and will say "hey, americas youth isn't as brainwahsed as we thought" get a grip people.

When I read this particular sentence, something finally clicked in my mind.

This does not apply to all Christians here, but to many of the ones who have written the same things as this particular questioner did.

You really, truly cannot grasp Atheism can you? It's not that you willfully refuse to acknowledge what it says, and twist its meanings, but, for some of you, you just are not even capable of understanding the concept.

I hope it will happen soon, when all people will accept Jesus. But I am also reminded that God hardens hearts for a reason, it's difficult to understand. However, it is all for the Glory of God, so that all His grace will been seen and all will bow to the King of Kings.

"Jesus": "division" and not peace; "made under the law".
"Christ": "peace" and not dividead; "the end of the law".
Mark & Avoid them which cause divisions: Romans 16
Ye are not under the law(Jesus), but under grace(Christ).

Eternal salvation is "THROUGH Jesus -> Christ"
Peace with God is "THROUGH Jesus -> Christ".
The allegory of such is through the Law -> Grace.

We are the body of "Christ"(not the body of Jesus).

To wit, that God was in "Christ" reconciling the world: 2Cor 5
(perhaps that God was not in Jesus alienating the world)

1. He doesn't exist, it's impossible to hate someone/someTHING that doesn't exist, so who are you calling a Christ hater?
2. Why can't you accept evolution? It's a FACT, it doesn't require belief, how can you reject knowledge? It's proven, are you BLIND?

To believe that Jesus is love and nothing else is a false and unrealistic teaching. Perhaps you forgot that he told the religious bigots of His day (Pharisees and Saducees) that they were children of hell and when they converted someone to their way they made them twofold the child of hell that they themselves were. Perhaps you don't remember that He also told them that they were a generation of serpents. Perhaps you don't recall that He told them that they were blind leaders of the blind. Perhaps you don't remember that He made a whip of cords and drove the money changers out of the temple telling them, "My Father's house is to be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of theives." Perhaps you are not aware that Jesus preached on Hell more than any other person in the Bible. Is anyone aware that it will be Jesus who will be sitting in judgment on the throne in Heaven and sentencing unrepentant sinners to eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire?

Now it is true that he spoke the truth in love, but when true Christians come into this place and teach the same things that Christ taught they are mocked and scorned. Well thank you for your mockery and scorn - you mockers and scorners because you fulfill the prophecy of Christ Himself who said,
"Marvel not if men hate you, for they hated me also. Is the servant greater than his Master? Because you are not of the world as I am not of this world they world will hate you."

I don't go around trying to be hated, but I also will not water down the Word of God to suit anyone whether you call yourself Atheist, Homosexual, Religious or even Christian.
God's word is the final authority on everything, and it is not to be tampered with.

If Christians would have been preaching the gospel through the years as it really is and hadn't watered it down and made it conform to the people it was preaching to, the power of the church would not have diminished as it has now. We are to be soldiers marching through the ranks of Hell and rescuing lost sinners from the clutches of the devil. We are to be totally victorious in this battle as the Bible tells me that we are more than conquerors. It is time to raise the standard and call sin what it is and deal with sinners with power and true authority in love as Christ did.

To those whose heart was open to hear truth from Him Jesus was loving and gentle and touched and healed with his words and his hands and his power. To those who were base and vile and unrepentant He preached truth that was hard and it challenged them to their face to get right with God.

I can not and will not shut down for anyone or anything. I am Christ's and His alone. I am Christian 24/7 awake or asleep.
The Bible is my sword, faith is my shield, and Christ is my hope and joy in this life and the life to come. The devil is my enemy and I am his enemy and I am here to do battle.

My stand will not change so that if any of you want to know where I am coming from this is my testimony and it will stand until the Lord takes me home.

I pray that there are those in this place who are as tired as I am of men and women playing at being Christian. It is past time for men and women of God to stand up and be counted as non-compromising, God honoring saints of the Living God!
Speaking with power and authority and exalting the name of Jesus Christ that lost sinners may be drawn to Him, and God would be glorified and able to say to us "Well Done" when we stand before Him!

Jesus went all the way to heaven and couldn't even send me a post card. All he left was a stupid book that everybody else already has a copy of. If he loved me, he'd give me my OWN book, and answer some of my questions personally, instead of sending lackeys to do it.
