Well if you are a true Christian and filled with the Holy Spirit, then when you are with someone you can feel if they really love God sometimes. It is all around more real and better fellowship. Besides, you can make more friends!!!

Church is for the edification and instruction of believers. The Bible says we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as is the manner of some. That scripture is about church - where people can minister to one another, praying for them and helping them in other ways. It is love with flesh on. You can never achieve the same thing online.
A church site can give instruction but it cannot provide the warmth and love the personal touch can. For an experiment try sitting in front of your computer for an hour or two. Then immediately after go to a good friend's house and spend an hour or two with them. See which you like best. I believe an honest person will have to say the physical presence of the person is far better than typing words to them on a puter. Even with video and audio making communication through a puter better, it still is not the warmth of friendship experienced when you hug a dear friend and tell them you love them in person.

Being in church takes a motivated lover of God to come and adore Him. I don't think we are there for community but to be community especially when we leave the church.
Being on the net is a way to communicate and deepen faith. Really if we didn't do anything; stones and grasses would shout out praise to God. People in R/S would still desire to talk discuss or argue on what they believe. God is unstoppable.
We know Jesus is the way, the real truth and the fulfillment of history and bible scripture. God doesn't need us, we need God. But he did send his Son to prove his unfathomable love for us. We will definitely use him at the time of death or we can use him now so we can get through the quagmire of the worlds idea of being god.

It is similar as long as the site has the community fashioned of like-minded consumers and reject their communal understanding of heresies by dismissing the heretic.
This forum is not it. This is a scientific approach to fellowship. Nothing is proven or disproven nor is it generally accepted that any one answer is right.
There is no joy in fellowship with these people(though, I encounter some very beautiful and spirited people here).
Remember, if it doesn't feel good it probably isn't good for you, if the Christian net (or whatever your religion is ) makes you feel good, then, fellowship there is acceptable and spiritual growth can be experienced within.

Um, I don't think this place is anything like being in church. I find that there is a lot of negativity here, and even though I am in the religion section, there are some angry non-believers here that you wouldn't find in a church ever!!

NO
Hebrews 10:25 says " Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching"
Physical contact is very different from chatting on the web.

Church is led by a proffessional of the Bible who has spent years researching and reading, not just a bunch of people with different opinions.

Corprate worship is people coming togeather, not a site or tv.
Jesus said where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them.
Preaching is God's ordained way to reprove, rebuke and exhort His people and technology doesnt change that.
Go to Church

No this is far more entertaining than the church I was dragged to every Sunday was. Although I must admit I still get the 'you are going to hell' thrown at me here and when I was in church.
