As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to oldage, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. A sober person is not bewildered by such a change

Live every moment you can to the fullest. When you are dead there won't be anyone to be afraid. We have been shielded from the experience of death for way too long, death is a part of life. There are a lot of life lessons to help us learn that and one day you will no longer fear death or maybe not. Most old folks I have known didn't have much fear of death left in them, they are ready and willing to try something new even if it's just an immeasurably long nap.

One has reason to fear the living and not the dead .The dead man can do no harm.
Death is not be feared .Every one from the poorest to the richest loves sleep .Death is the deepest sleep from which one can never be disturbed .One who loves sleep is alo afraid of sl;eep . It is because he does not know what is death. No one knows wha it is like untill he is dead and once he is dead , he would not be there to tell us what it is .
There is ine proverb in Tamil .-" Kandavar vindilar- vindavar kandillar . that is thoswe who have seen have not told and those who have told have not seen"
So fear of dath is fear of the unknown. Death is part of life ..Anything and evrything that has a beginnig should have an end .We always see it and know it to be so.
But the gita sauys that we never cease of exist and neither have we beennot existed and that we shall never cease to exist inthe future also .These ar the worlds of Krsihna meant to console Arjuna . Really speaking the matter of which our bodies are made of never dies but undergoes change only .Matter is indestructible .but we donot exist as we ar ein this birth ,.We reincornate into so many other beings . Tjhis si scientifically ture .

Death itself or the dying process?
Many people fear the dying process even when they don't fear death itself. Atheists typically don't fear death itself. It will be just like it was before you were born. Certainly nothing to fear in that. Try stop believing in an afterlife. That's the surest way to stop being afraid of Death.
The dying process is a different matter. I personally want it to be quick and painless but since we live in a religious dominated culture we don't get the option of being euthanized to keep us from suffering, because THEY, not necessarily you but THEY (the religious people in charge) get to outlaw it. They need to learn to mind their own damn business.

What is there to fear? Death is inevitable, it's natural, it happens to all living things. Why do you fear it? Fearing it is useless and non-productive. Religion teaches it's followers to fear death. Fear of death is the basis of all religions.

This is a normal thought to fear death. Each one of us are curious about the life after death, what happens to persons after death etc. One takes new body as per one's karmic deeds. There are many near to death experiences .
I by chance came across book in the ISKCON TEMPLE and this relates to the story of Ajamila a brahmin priest who is going to die and what he sees etc .
This is a true story as taken from the Hindu Literature and mentioned in a simple way.
A SECOND CHANCE book is available at all ISKCON TEMPLE SHOPS.
All the doubts regarding death will be cleared and this books prepares one mentally to face death . Best of Luck .

Just meditate by observing ur breath and get inner calm. Once u achieve inner calmness, u will become fearless in life. There is no need for any mantra, just inhale and exhale and observe the movement of breath. In the beginning, if u need any mantra just utter SHANTI, SHANTI and it will help u in gaining peace within then u will not fear anything as u will realise that u have surrendered to the Super Power i.e. God.

Of course, live your life with prioritising ur responsiblities, instead of worrying try 2 be happy with every tit-bits, see death as the ultimate goal, as u 'll be with no one at the end of ur day or dis wrld & the best way is to see as it the only process to reach or to meet the Supreme power. Death is inevitable so live present with full energy instead of worrying 4 that thing about which u r not sure....

The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. -Mark Twain

It's really hard not to. Religions were created to try to ease that fear, to give you the idea that you won't really be dead after you die. Sadly, we live and then we're gone. That's it. But, think of it this way: how did you feel before you were born? You didn't feel anything; you had no consciousness. That's how it will be after you're dead. It's a very difficult concept, but once you are gone you won't have the ability to mind it one bit. It's not really anything to be afraid of--you don't have to like the idea, but once you are gone you will have no fears, no feelings, no....anything. It's not bad, it's not good--it just is.
