Don't put any towel on your head. Your body has its own mechanisms, such as the fever to determine that.

Cold, your large intestine absorbs it better. Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of it and eating nutritious foods. That's pretty much a given, but not many people follow it.

do you have a fever? if so, a cool towel on your forehead will help to bring it down as we can lose body temp through the head. try the top of your head instead. if no fever, no towel. drink whatever makes you feel better.

Hot or cold towel? I wouldn't do either

However, it is important to keep your fluids up - use both hot and cold, it doesn't matter.

Hot hot HOT! It's always a good idea to sweat the flu out - Cold may feel sooo good, but it won't ultimately help anything.

feed a cold
starve a fever
that means to eat and drink cold stuff and use cold cloth for your brow
