My 2 dogs share the same bowl, but they usually don't eat at the same time.

It's best to have a bowl for the food and a bowl for the water, but if you have 2 or more dogs, they can easily share a water dish. Sharing a food dish, unless you feed them one after the other and they know this, could be uncomfortable for them. They may fight over which one gets ALL the food instead of sharing it.

If you have one dog and only one bowl, you could keep water in it most of the day, empty it,feed him, wash the bowl and rinse it well, and then fill it with water again until the next meal. It would be more work, but it could be managed.

No and Yes,
Your cat and dog can each have the same water bowl, but I recommend not the same food bowl. Most dog in familys share the water bowl and not food bowl, it is the same with cats, it is because one might not allow the animal to eat their share. However cats will NOT eat out of other animal bowl(s), but the dog may.

I hope I have helped you!

It is OK to let them east & drink out of the same bowl but always keep an eye on them. Although they may at the beginning eat fine together that can change very quickly!! The water should not be a problem at all.

With dogs (and people) usually one is the most dominant and that dog will control what the other has to eat and drink if there is only 1 bowl. Would you want to hope someone left something for you?

For water they use the same big bowl. But for food I have to feed them in different rooms. Reason being, The Pitt has food allergies and has special food and I don't want her eating the regular food the other two get. The Beagle is such a chow hound he would eat his and go for the little Rattys food.

Yes they can but it is kinder to the dogs to have their own special place and bowl, even though they will sneek a bit from the others now n then.. its a confidence and emotional thing for them...

why would you want them to eat out of the same bowl... they can share the water, but i would feed them in their own separate bowls if you are feeding them at the same time.

MY DOGS DRINK OUT OF THE SAME WATER BOWL ,BUT I FEED THEM THEIR FOOD IN SEPARATE BOWLS.

SOME DOGS WILL FIGHT OVER FOOD AND ITS HARD TO KEEP TRACK IF THEY ARE GETTING ENOUGH TO EAT.
