Nicotine doesn't kill. Its just something that gets you addicted to items that contain nicotine. Its the tabacco that kills.

Zero. Nicotine isn't the problem. It's other compounds in smoke and chewing tobacco that cause problems. Exact figures are hard to pin down, because tobacco doesn't cause deaths directly, it causes other conditions which lead to death, some of which may also affect non tobacco users.

nicotine is quite harmless... That is why you can buy nicotine gums, patches, etc... What harms you is tar, plus some other chemicals like ammonia and some carcinogens if you are talking about cigarettes...
