What part of the dead person are you talking about?

The wages of sin is death. We all die physically and our physical dead body is burried & turns to dirt.

As far as a persons soul goes. It goes where God puts it. In the bible there are places where the dead souls go (Rev.20); the dead where the dead are in the sea, the dead where other dead are with the dead (rest?) & the dead go where death & hell fire (terror) is.

If a person is born of His Spirit and have a soul/spirit, that person's soul/spirit is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and goes to heaven. Only those whose sins are covered & made the righteousness of Christ go to heaven. And they travel, think & feel in heaven without their body. But at resurrection day they will stand before the Lord whole; spirit, soul & body before Christ.

Any spirit floating around pretending to be a dead person would be a demon.

This is exactly the problem that John faced on Patmos. How can you say that a person died, and then lived. It sounds contradictory. He had to introduce a new concept, second death. Second death, to John is the real death, where there is no returning. Resurrection is only understandable in light of the second death. The death of our bodies, is more like sleep. Dreaming after the death of our bodies, and before the Resurrection may be limbo, purgatory, or possibly hell.

A person really does have to have an insight, or inspiration to make sense of a new word, that communicates a new concept. Groc....

Probably the same thing that makes it so hard to imagine that those very same "dead" are actually just animals that have some genetic way of being un-visible to humans. That there is a possibility some of them stand upright like us, monkeys, and many other animals.

It's really not a matter of comprehending anything, just that the Bible tells the truth and the dead are either dead in Christ or dead and in hell.

Are you talking in some spiritual state or do you mean actually in their bodies? That would be yucky. Impossible, too, for any real length of time. As far as posthumous OTB,why not. I see no reason to rule it out. I don't know that people do find it hard to comprehend; people have always believed in ghosts and so on.

Well, they never laugh at my jokes, they aren't warm to the touch, and never pay for their tickets. And they tend to smell awful. All in all, I wouldn't take a dead person to a dogfight, let alone Europe.
