If they knew a Cataclysmic event was about to happen that would threaten human exsistence?

Why doesn't the Media speak about some of the disasters that would have a profound effect on our exsistence? like the diminishing Bee crisis, or the birds that just die in flight and fall to the ground?

We need to count only on GOD's word to reveal the truth unless you think someone else would be more qualified to tell us the truth and if you do who would that be for you?

You speak well of the concern that many millions of people in America, and indeed in the whole world have about possible cataclysms that could befall this planet of ours. from world-wide famines, and pestilences, to hits by a life-destroying asteroid! No, I don't think this nafarious Bush administration would warn the American people, if they were planning World War Three!!! Or invade Iran, which ever comes first! Let alone tell the American people of an impending nationwide 'bird flu' pandemic!!!
Now it appears there is a new disaster in the making, for in the USA Newspaper I read of VHS. No, not the video tape but a terrible disease similar to Ebola that is killing many different species of fish in various Great Lakes in the Mid West!! VHS is an acronym for 'Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia' which makes the fish hemorrhage to death!!!
Perhaps the media is talking about such things as the death of millions of honey bees, but people like yourself just haven't noticed when and where the media(TV, Radio talk shows) have done so.
Such topics for discussion are certainly being discussed on the internet! See below referrences . . . .
We should COUNT on our God's Word for our daily life's physical and spiritual needs, as well as the truth to be revealed to us. Indeed the news media has been coy, and out right deceptive at times, like in the case of ELF mind and weather control technologies!!! Never hear of H.A.A.R.P.? You're not alone. It's not the subject of local TV and national news stations, but people need to be informed of this potential dangerous ELF electromagnetic energy being broadcasted all around them everyday, and the potential dangers to their health!!

By your way of thinking, we should not look for possible earthly explanations, for the diminishing bee problem, or birds suddenly dieing, the most likely explanation is at the hand of man. We could chalk up global warming to "god" not excessive CO2 emissions, and you could continue to drive your SUV till there is no more oil.

I personally think almost everyone here on earth is more qualified than god, except maybe you since you have only one answer to a billion questions.

In the UK the government seems to have the approach that if a major disaster might happen its best not to tell anyone, because they might panic.

It can be counter-productive. E.g. a bird flu outbreak could lead to lots of 'its nothing', and 'its all under control' reports, and that could lead to complacency.

Sometimes their warnings about terrorism are very conveniently timed, or it looks that way - when they have other problems that might be an embarassment !

no, because people would panic, and cause widespread destruction. the bee crisis is overblown. bee keepers have often lost large numbers of bees to unexplainable events.

and there are many other ways for the plants to pollonate. many other insects and birds do the same job.

as for god's word,,, seems to me that the folks that follow gods word cause the most problems in this world, and are always the ones saying that fthe world will end in the next 2,4,12, etc, years. that i can live without.

i prepair myself to live from the land if i have to, and i study survival techniques and take time to make sure that they work.

Well, since God isn't talking....
No I don't believe that our government would warn us, in fact history has proven time and again that they keep all kinds of information about many things from us. They knew about the 9/11 tragedy well before it happened and did they bother to warn us or take any precautions to protect us? NO..
As for the media speaking out about things like the diminishing bee population, I think that to them it isn't "lead story" news. It isn't something that most people would listen to, unfortunately.

So that they can sell more products designed to "help you prevent this horrible disaster." If you notice, every horrible thing they say is going to happen has but one antedote, and fortunately, you can buy it, but it isn't cheap. For example (and I don't care how many thumbs-down me for this): Global warming. The earth is going through a normal cycle which it has before and is again but we're told it's our fault and the only way for us to slow it down is to "live green" and buy expensive energy-saving organic products which will help prevent this doom from occurring.

no, the government doesn't want to create a riot and all the politicians want to get to a safe place and save themselves before the rest of us can get there first. on that note, God hasn't warned us about natural disasters either, so why trust God? he won't warn you when you are about to get hit by a truck, or sleeping and a tree falls on your roof, or even when you're on a beach a sudden tidal wave kills you. He doesn't even warn his own bishops that they are about to slip and fall and break a leg! unless maybe you think God is a practical joker - hahaha - I got you good with that hurricane!

I see those talked about on cable TV all the time... and if it were an asteroid or the sun going nova... there would be no way to keep that secret... the US and most all other western governments are too leaky to keep that kind of thing secret.

No. I don't think the government would warn us because the impending doom is coming when the Democrats get elected.
