i have a windows cd and the code but what should i do first formatt the hard drive or reinstall windows?PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Boot from the cd and select install at the first option screen, then at the second option screen you will see the existing installation. Use the d delete option to remove the partition and create a new one. Load onto this.

Download all the hardware drivers first, especially the network card drivers. put on a CD, after Windows is reinstalled, you just install the drivers and you are good to go.

First, backup all important files, (your pictures, music, videos, etc.) format the hard drive, then reinstall windows.
