Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez 23 and Enrico Garza 26, probably believed they would easily overpower a home alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two story home.
It seems the two crooks never learned two things, they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine. Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buck shot from the 11 year olds knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals. When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.
It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun.

And to some of you others, in the time it took her to get her father's gun, down the hall, these two people broke into her house and ran up the stairs, the one at the top carrying a stolen .45
Exactly HOW FAST do you think 911 responds?
And if it were YOUR 11 year old daughter, and two men had broken into the house with a gun and were running up the stairs at her, would you rather she had a gun and the ability to use it, or that she just wait for the burglers coming at her with a gun?
Polish, I hope you are being intentionally ironic, and that that isn't just accidental.
I don't care if they were illegal or not. They could have been the star quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys and his forward. She still took care of herself in a bad situation they totally brought on themselves. And she was very lucky she had that gun.

not attempting to sound like a not undemanding guy, yet with regard to the only time I cry is by using loss of life. I even tend to alter into greater pissed than disillusioned over issues. i assume i'm an extremely stereotypical male in that regard. Did Incubus of each and every person particularly basically call somebody else a sociopath and a psychopath?

Are you people seriously saying that this smart girl should have acted ANY DIFFERENTLY?? HELLO!!!! She'd be dead or raped or BOTH!!! Misunderstood illegals my a$$ I wish i could beat them down before they get deported.I am proud of that little girl,and guess what ? I'm a liberal. Come on people ! These men were trespassing on someone else's property.I hate to think what would have happened to that poor little girl if she had not defended herself.

Good for her! I hope she's not to traumatized by this. I'm sure the liberals will cry foul on this and victimize the criminals, spout off about gun control and how most illegals aren't criminals..blah blah blah! If that is true, that girl should face reprocussions. It's still murder and cruelty. Wonder if she knew how to dial 911, or was she taught as so many other ignorant people: "shoot first, ask questions later"? Her parents should be held accountable too. Why was an 11 year old home alone? That is bad parenting. If her parents were good parents she wouldn't have been home alone and therefore wouldn't have been endangered. She would have known the proper way to act in a break-in and wouldn't have been able to get her hands on a gun. What if she were to injure herself with the gun, doesn't matter if she's a shooting champ or not, she could have been hurt too and that would have been a whole different sad story.
