Well lets see: 1) My FATHER is in Heaven (Matt 6:9) ..... 2) My SAVIOR is in Heaven (John 14:3) ..... 3) My MANSION is in Heaven (John 14:2)..... 4) My HOPE is in Heaven (Col 1:5) ..... 5) My CITIZENSHIP is in Heaven (Phil 3:20).....My REWARD is in heaven (Matt 5:12)...... To go somewhere after death one must resurrect (come back to life).
Immortality is a gift from God who is the only eternal one. The boedient ones go to a place in heaven (outer space) and the disobedient wait for their judgement day in the grave. When that day comes, they will be annihilated, dying the second death.
The soul is the mortal mind, not a life giving force. You're confusing soul with spirit. Spirit is not energy, it's matter vibrating at a higher frequency. Energy is always there, even in inanimate objects, but that's not spirit. Spirit animates objects lol Don't worry, hope isn't lost! Jesus is the resurrection (either you get eternal life or you cease existing).
Even dead bodies still have energy, ever heard of fossil fuel?

Because I accepted Jesus Christ as my LORD and Savior, I am going to Heaven without doubt.
Have you accepted Him? I hope so because He does not want you to be eternally separated from Him.

I feel bonniebell needs to read the rest of the verse she is quoting. one simple passage sums it up. 2 Corinthians 5:8 absent from the body present with the Lord. see the website below as to why I think bonniebell is incorrect. this is all in my opinion and how I have learned to read scripture.
