first off, it is ignorant to assume that everyone wants to come to the US. there are many other successful countries in the world, and the highest rate of immigration in the world today is to France, not the US. our society is hated by most of the world, and it should be. you make a good point, especially in relation to education. we have great education here, but our society is so ****** up that we don't know what to do with it. 1 in 20 people drop out each year, and even more in low income communities. there are over 20 million people in this country working at or below minimum wage jobs, and as such the US has become a land of low income and high prices, as opposed to the land of opportunity. people in other cultures do just as many drugs and have just as much sex, so that shouldn't be a determining factor in whether or not we as teenagers have the capacity to help others. it is not a bad thing to want to enjoy yourself as long as you try to spread the ideal and morals you stand for. God is a paradox. if hes been there for you all the time, why hasnt he been there for the starving people you mentioned? i wouldnt depend on him. people change people, people are there for people. yes, as a whole, america is pretty screwed up. but thats what you get with capitalism, the idea o fhte self-made man. i am not a communist in any way, but american citizens have this warped view of what the world should be like. that it should be every man for himself and that if we take that approach, everyone ends up on top. these ideals have spread, and it has almost become human nature to push the little guy aside and not look back.
OH. and not EVERYONE just cares for themselves. EVERYONE would include you. and i think that if your concerned about this more than lipgloss NOW, then you will do great things and make a difference and be someone. mad props.

I really want to congratulate you on speaking your heart out! In today's world where people have become so selfish that we think that this world is really headed for disaster and then i see you and think that no humanity is not dead yet. I totally agree with you that teenagers in America are wasting all the good things that are available to them so easily. And it is really sad that they don't understand the value of money and this is because they are so engrossed and obsessed with their own lives that they don't have any time to see what is going on in the world. But that being said i also don't think that there is no hope for these teenagers because you are also amongst them and you still have your moral values intact which is great:) Anyways just don't change yourself for anything or anyone because you seem to be a very nice human being:)

I agree with you that it's ridiculous that people waste money on shirts and jeans from Sears, or Pac Sun and other expensive stores when there are kids dying in other third world countries. And I agree that there are some teenagers in American high schools that are having sex and drinking, and making children out of marriage, and doing drugs but there are a few good teenagers who actually have a job in high school and wait to have sex. Of course those are very few teenagers but nevertheless there are teenagers that have morals and values so it's not fair to say that all teenagers are bad.

I think that is human to feel overwhelmed with the insensitivity and cruelty in the world today. It is a shame that there are not open borders in all countries, that hate exists, that hunger exists, and that there are not more stringent laws on parenting and bringing up children. I believe that most of it can be attributed to the decline in religous beliefs and lack of humanity towards humans. Not all Americans are lazy, some of us work very diligently to try to create a better tomorrow for many others. I myself volunteer in many needed services for my community, and i know of many others as well.
I am so proud to see wonderful young lady such as yourself become our future, and so happy to hear that you are motivated, and saved. It warms my heart to hear a young lady speak with such insight into the world. You will be a bright light which no one will be able to put out! I hope that you will bring this message to your peers as well, one person can make a great impact on many.
I also had only God to turn to in my younger years, and he parented me into a great woman. I so understand where you are coming from. Never lose this passion, and it will take you places you never dreamt possible.
God bless you, bless you, bless you
You made my day!

Don't lose heart. Real Christians love you and others and do what they can to help the less fortunate around the world.
But I know what you are saying thee is a lot of greed in this country and people have their eyes on material things. We have to have Jesus in our lives and follow his teachings. Everybody needs to do all they can do.
It will not be long till God hits America financially we will be in a depression again because of greed. Look for this in the next years.
Email me if you need someone to talk to, I'm here to help.
The bible says the love of money is the root of all evil. The sins you mentioned are from the way society has lost their morals from the selling of sex in movies, TV, and magazines. Drug is another example it quick money for the dealer and what he sells destroys lives and they don't care.

I agree with you. I feel that way all of the time. People are selfish and lazy. For the cost of a cup of coffee at Starbucks 4 children could recieve life saving medicine. But people "need" their coffee. I live in Los Angeles and the immigration protests were yesterday. It makes me angry that people believe that immigrants shouldnt be allowed to come into our country. This land was founded as the land of the free and the home of the brave and it isnt true anymore. We are censored, lazy cowards. Stay as passionate as you are and you will have an impact on the world. You are wise beyond your years. Spread the word.

I'm only 36 and I feel like the world is pretty screwed up too ... and I wonder who really cares
idk
but I do know that as a society we value money over spirituality, enlightenment, and self discovery
but I thinks its silly to say "no one", "everyone", and "all" ... because you would be including yourself ... and I think you should be the change you want to see in the world, before you start pointing fingers
if you can think it, you can create it in the world

Good. Keep on track.
If you're asking why the world has gone crazy, I'll give you an answer . . .
STDs are far more prevalant than people think. And they result in a far wider array of maladies than is commonly known. Pharmaceutical companies make a killing (sometimes literally) from extra-marital sex. The hormones in our food supply (injected into cattle etc.) make guys hornier, and cause early feminization in women, larger breasts, less controllable sexual response etc. contributing to more sexual contacts, more diseases, more pregnancies, more abortions (cha-ching) and more people to churn through the same machine. There's no down-side for the pharmo profiteers.
We've moved from a Judeo-Christian capitalism where companies conducted themselves in an ethical fashion to a ruthless form of capitalism that manipulates markets without any regard for ethical behavior in order to increase demand for its products to the point of destroying peoples lives.
Chemicals are put in food to increase people's appetites the same way nicotine is added to cigarettes to increase people's addiction to the product.
Money greasing the palms of politicians diverts their eyes from these practices while an unsuspecting public is barraged with advertisements for drugs that destroy their health as they remove the symptoms that simple natural substances could have dealt with if they hadn't been made illegal. YES! It's true! Natural cures are now illegal!
The FDA has made it a law that only a drug can cure a disease. All natural compounds to cure diseases are now illegal!
And we've only scratched the surface.

soreness is a wierd element. Burning a finger or stubbing a toe can harm all night, yet as quickly as I shattered my wrist into 20 products (bones protruding), i did no longer experience something in any respect. i assume i replaced into basically into "operation mode," and that i found out that soreness could be a incapacity in getting needed scientific help. i do no longer think of the worst actual soreness can come on the factor of the psychological soreness a lot of human beings have suffered. Merry Christmas, and all the suited to you and your loved ones. And be careful!
