Well, that's jumping the gun a bit.

But I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Scottish National Party gave Labour a bloody nose at the elections tomorrow. And a lot of the anti-Labour anger here in Scotland is down to the Iraq war.

But who knows what will happen in the longer term?

Certainly most people in Scotland no longer want to be associated with the Iraq war, and don't want young Scots used as cannon fodder in Bush and Blair's imperialistic fantasies.

The words United Kingdom have always been something of a myth and nothing more than a means by which government have managed to run the Island of Britain for a number of centuries.

The break up of UK has nothing to do with the war in Iraq. The break up was and is inevitable. It's just a matter of time really.

What are you talking about? The break up of Britain?

You mean support in Scotland for independance? That is something with a long history, people didn't decide to seperate because of the war in Iraq. But it isn't likely to happen. While there is a segment of Scottish society who supports the idea, a majority of people favour a position of greater autonomy within the United Kingdom.

If they keep letting Muslims immigrate that'll be another thing that breaks the country up eventually. Every Western country that does is going to go to hell eventually. They have 7 kids per person, have only alliegence to their religion and extremist ideas. No way, incompatible with modern society. So it's further making Muslims in Britain extra extreme.

No - Britain is not and never has been a single country. It is the growth of nationalism and patriotism that is going to breakup the UK as we know it. It will however survive as a group of countries with shared values and history with each country being treated equal. Unlike, the London dominated UK we have today.

I look forward to the day when Northern Ireland, Scotland and possibly Wales assert their independence and exclude themselves from 'compulsory' political union that was imposed by often brutal military power from England.

No. I understand that the government and people don't agree on the war. I personally think that the change can be made during elections when people can cast votes to change the course of the direction of the government by voting those out of office who they disagree with.
