I will admit I have to chuckle here. If most Christians will be mislead by the Antichrist would it make sense to just walk away from Christianity and not put the rest of us through this hell on earth? It is the Christians that will be used by this evil person to rise to power and do his bidding. The Christian can be so blind her or she can be manipulated through their beliefs. Get rid of all the major religions and this planet can be saved from devastation. If you notice most of the world's problems seem to spawn from religious friction.

Let's put this way: if all Christians believe in the Anti-Christ this will create an environment for such a person to rise to power. You have heard of the term "Self fulfilling prophecy? It doesn't matter if you believe in an Anti-Christ or not. The Christians do and they are waiting for this event. I tell you there will be a person to fill this spot because the Christianity as created the position.

Interesting that some would say I am ignorant from this question. There is so much data out in the world about the damage that religion cause in society but the bible thumper is told to ignore outside information thus becoming the ignorant but will project this on to those that don't see the world only through biblical eyes. Ignorant is as ignorant does. If you have only one source for imfomation you cannot consider youself among the informed thus leaving yourself open to be mislead thus supporting why most Christians will be mislead. Man's future in not religion but religions are man's Achilles' Heel.

Let's say the Antichrist was among us. If disguised himself as a flabby, pale-skinned balding WASP businessman, got himself a Chimperor as a 'front', started a war in Babylon that's killing tens of thousands of children for his oil-baron buddies, screwed many people in California with his unholy alliance called Enron, and screwed the poor in America for the enrichment of the ultra-rich, would anybody notice? If he pretended to be a Christian, would many on the Religious Reich be able to see through his bald-faced pandering?

T Rex: It's difficult to answer the Biblical illiterate when they ask such bold & bald questions like yours.
First; by the accounts of the New Testament, backed by the Old testament prophecies, you would find that the anti-Christ is any one who is not for the Messiah, the Christ Jesus. That is an anti-Christ.
I believe that in your ignorance you are speaking of the Beast? The Beast and the False Prophet can only rise when the world has no Christians left on the planet. It is then that the gullable, and blind will be decieved.
When that happens all the religions and "so called Christians" that are left here will be nothing but hollow buildings full of the irrellevant & self righteous. The true church of the Christ will have been taken away from this world.
It is we the Christians that the Christ recognizes that would attemt to put a stop to the Beast's rise to power. Every one else would help him up to the Temple.

Well, as an Athiest, I believe "the Antichrist" is a metaphor for false Christianity (I may not agree with the belief in a God, and Jesus certainly was not a messiah, but he had some decent ideals, such as equality) In this sense, the "Antichrist" has come, in the form of the new form of Conservative Christianity..Christ would be ashamed of "moral" objectives such as the war against gays, lets not forget, many of the same talking points were used to defend bigotry against blacks (Anglo Saxon Christian Children). Christianity, in It's modern day, is a joke, used by many to defend bigotry, note MANY, not all, there are some true, and good Christians, however these grow to seem few and far between.

That's how the anti-christ comes to power. God removes His church from the earth. Then the anti-christ comes to power. Christians are the salt of the earth. (True Christians, not the ones that think they are good enough on their own.) Christians are the only thing that preserves this world from complete devestation before its time. There is no way to avert that destruction. It is prophesied and it will happen just as God says it will.

There will not be a person rise up as The Anti_Christ

There are many many "Antichrists" and they are on the loose right this very moment.

Read John 1,2,&3 and then read (Really Read it!) the Book of Revelation.

Sorry approximately your Dad. New converts are constantly the worst, basically like reformed alcoholics or people who stop smoking. yet, specific in accordance to Christianity, definitely everybody "sins". No exceptions. as properly the secular regulation, which applies to everybody, Christians have all their very own regulations which you "sin" once you ruin those. For starters, there is swearing, alcohol (in some sects), any style of intercourse outdoors marriage, Mormons do no longer drink, smoke, or use caffeine (whether i've got prevalent Mormons that do all 3) etc. whether, as stated, ingesting a hamburger is a "sin" against the Hindu "gods" and that i'm specific Hindus do issues that are "sins" against the Christian "god". Atheists and agnostics like myself can't "sin" because of the fact there is no shown "god" to "sin" against. in case you could't locate any cogent reason to have confidence in a "god", how are you able to "sin"? advantages on your journey!

Silly T. Can't you see that your question is the big indicator that the anti-christ has come?

If everyone walked away we'd know he was here.

And you know for certain there is an Antichrist?

the bible states that the anti christ is he who does not believe jesus is the messiah. j-e-w-s do not believe that jesus is teh messiah, thus jews are the anti-christ. if christians abandon their faith and stop protecting the j-e-w-s, and just let the muslims kill them, then the anti christ will not rise to power! it's all in the bile, christians. it's all in there.
