Whether you believe in "God" or not, you and I will all end up in the same place, the place of souls.... what people call Heaven or the afterlife.

Don't concern yourself with it

I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking. The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good evidence. Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides.

What does "don't believe in God" mean? Don't believe there is a god or higher power or don't believe in the doctrines and theologies of specific religions and churches?
I think when I die I will decide to cease caring about what happens to me because I can do nothing about whatever it is...even if it's just becoming food for the dirt we rely on to grow food in.

Remember what it was like before you were born? That is what it will be like after you are dead. The world will carry on, you won't.

BTW a belief in gods is unnecessary for a belief in an afterlife. Many cultures believe in an afterlife or reincarnation without gods being involved.

Why do you care? Better to make the most of NOW, no? You could've just spent a few seconds thinking about how to improve the human condition--why spend it worrying about what happens after death?

Death is the end there is nothing beyond that. The body is buried or cremated and if you are lucky and were a good person, the people you leave behind remember you with love in their hearts.

That which we strive for in this life, we get in the next.

Death is not the end of our journey...it is just a door we close behind us as we travel on.
