Did you know that John the Baptist is also John the Disciple? When Jesus was crucified, to whom did He leave His mother behind (John 19:26)? Isn't it to John? Who is this John? Isn't John the Baptist the cousin of Jesus? That is why Jesus also said to the disciple standing by his mother, "Behold thy mother!" (John 19:27)
