I am expecting a slew of answers from an atheist bias.

I'm a skeptic. I do not blindly follow Christianity. I do not believe that it is the opiate of the masses but a true faith that has withstood the test of time.

I threw evolution out almost immediately in my search. There is no logic to truly justify evolution as a fact. There is too much evidence of design in our world.

Only a personable God could create personable human beings.

So my question is, if not God than what else explains life?

No malicious answers please, let's debate this like gentlemen (and ladies as well) =)

Scott B:

I don't mean personable in the sense that we would get along with them. We all communicate and have personalities. Even the people or cultures we don't find personally appealing still have personality and communication skills.

All cultures communicate, in different ways.

I'm amazed at how many "thumbs down" are instantly given when a Christian responds with his/her view.

There is such an anti-Christian bias on this site and American in general today.

The important thing is what one does with life, not where it came from.

I would suggest continuing to research evolution and other explanations.

I assume this is the same advice you would give me if I said, "I threw out the idea of God as soon as I heard about him."

What you have done is commit two fallacies. One is an appeal to ignorance and the other is a false dilemma..."If you cannot explain X, then I am right."

My explanation for life is simple. Random natural causes. It may be hard to swallow, but if everything complex needs to be designed, then what designed God? Something had to come from nothing, that fact is inescapable, and seeing as how I see no other evidence for a God, I'll just assume life on our planet was first until new evidence presents itself.

How do you define design? Do you think the world is 6000 years old? Most people I meet are not personable.

Anti-Christian bias because sadly they have more people and are swayed more easily by loud people than they are by logic or what is actually right.

You didn't answer my questions so I couldn't asnwer yours.

Read the blind watch maker if your not convinced that there is proof than stay a deist. But don't say there is no proof of evolution.
