Mixed feelings...

I've met Mormons that could discuss their beliefs without ramming the idea of 'convert or die' down my throat AND were, in fact, quite respectful of my lack of religion. I tend to get along with such Mormons just fine; however,...

I have also met Mormons whose sole purpose in life is now converting others and imposing their beliefs on anyone and everyone. Sadly enough, when I worked at one of the registers in a store, I even met a couple who, upon realizing that I did not go to temple, picked up their groceries and moved to another line so their food would not be exposed to my 'heathen hands'.

'Mormon society' is just like any other society. Some Mormons can handle differing ideas and do not confuse their beliefs with 'how everyone else must be' and some can be extremely ignorant.

I prefer to make my opinions of people on an individual basis.

The Mormon religion was founded less than two hundred years ago by a man named Joseph Smith. He claimed to have received a personal visit from God the Father and Jesus Christ and told that all churches and their creeds were an abomination. Joseph set out to impose a brand-new religion that claims to be the “only true church on earth.” The problem with Mormonism is that it contradicts, modifies, and expands on the Bible. Christians have no reason to believe that the Bible is not true and adequate. To truly believe in and trust God means to believe in His Word. And all Scripture is inspired by God, which means it comes from Him (2 Timothy 3:16).
Although Mormons are usually friendly, loving, and kind people - they are involved in a false religion that distorts the nature of God, the Person of Jesus Christ, and the means of salvation.

I don't understand thier beliefs, but all Mormons I know in person are extremely nice people, with very polite, well brought up children, I might think they're a bit weird, but they have always been very nice to me. And none of them have ever brought up religion or tried to convert me, I have run into the occasional mormon missionary here and there, but they have never pushed it either, if I am not interested, and the regular rank and file Mormons have just never brought it up to me...

For the most part, they are a very nice a caring group of people. I've never seen a mormon be hateful towards anyone.

I believe Joseph Smith is no more of a Prophet than Muhammud is a Prophet. Both groups are not following Gods truth, but rather mans interpretation. Christ Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light to all humanity. Jesus does not need anything or anyone else, to fulfill His plan of redemption to humankind. He alone is all that is needed.
Praise The Holy Lamb Of God !!!!!
God Bless You....Peace.

I have always found them fascinating -- even more so now that *I am* a Latter-day Saint.

There are lots of misconceptions about LDS beliefs. If you ever want to read the accurate version of LDS beliefs, beta.mormon.org is a good place to start.

Even if you don't agree with what the Latter-day Saints believe, you can still have fun learning something new.

I have hated the mormons ever since 3 of them tried to witness to me WHILE I WAS IN THE SHOWER!!!

No lie, they knocked on the door, I ignored it because I was in the shower, and then they tried yelling "Hello" up into the shower window. I responded, they asked if anyone else was home, I told them no and they started trying to convert me while I was in the shower.

And so, screw 'em. Anyone that invasive or anyone that follows a religion that encourages being that invasive doesn't need to be in my life.
