Not understanding what your asking but I do know when they train these dogs to fight they run treadmill they are starved they are given gun powder ,steroids etc ive never known them to beat the dog this way if this dog doesnt make them money they shootem.I have two of the so called top ten most dangerous dogs 1 pit 2 Mastif I have had pits, sheppards, boxer, dobermans you name ive had it the worst dog Ive cam across was a dalmation. They dont like children and they are very territorial but they dont let you know this because it is a fireman mascott.Any dog that bites will get reported and they to get the same treatment they get put down as well.Yes a pit gets a bad rap but sometimes you cannot reprogram this dog.But if there were enough rescues for them this breed has a better chance.

I can vouch for that. My mom knew a few guys in Hawaii that would do that to their dogs and she had a screaming match with them once about that. What they did was tie the pit's necks up to a clothing line so that only their toes were touching the ground, and they would hit them. This strengthened their necks and back muscles while teaching them to ignore pain, and up their stamina. If they stopped using their muscles, they would choke to death.
And people wonder why some pits are pissy. I would be too if that happened to me. I would be in an asylum.
I did an essay on pit aggression in college. Contrary to popular belief, there are more recorded bites from other dogs than from pit bulls. The reason why pits get a bad rap is because, although they have less recorded bites, pits have had more kills. Of course. Pits are much more powerful than most dogs, and they have the strongest jaw muscles.
I totally agree with the comment above by littlevicious. Literally every german shepherd I've met has been aggressive towards me - I've been bitten by one and attacked by others. The most aggressive dog I've met was a golden retriever. Don't believe everything you hear.

I remember hearing somewhere that Pitbulls were originally bred as fighting dogs, therefore they do have aggression in there breed, although I haven't seen an aggressive Pitbull yet ,only sweet ,playful, happy, cuddly ones. Every dog can bite but some breeds were meant to be more aggressive than others and if you put one into the wrong hands then you will most likely have problems. I don't agree with banning any breed of dog , I think if a dog attacks someone then that dog and its owner and depending on circumstances involved the person who was attacked , should be the only ones punished. Having the ban just makes things worse because people don't follow the regulations and innocent pitbulls will be euthanized because of it .

Pit bulls were originally bred to fight other dogs in a pit, but not to be human aggressive, so that the owner could remove the dog from the pit without being bitten. That is their history. Bad breeding, overbreeding and poor owners have led to pits with behavioral problems.
That said, pits have a higher tendency toward prey drive and aggressiveness to other animals and dogs. Prospective owners shouldn't minimize this risk and train and handle their pets accordingly. It doesn't mean they are bad dogs or bad pets, but all breeds have their characteristics and owners need to be aware of them and handle their animals accordingly.
As far as your bite statistics, they are not accurate, and golden retrievers and labs are two different breeds. The best statistics available are from a study done by the US Center for Disease Control, but only covers fatal bites. Unfortunately, pits top the list. However, far bigger factors than breed toward fatal bites are chained dogs and unneutered males. So in this area, pits have an undeserved bad rap.

statistically speaking- there is no one breed that is worse than another when it comes to biting someone.
they all have. My dad was mauled in front of my eyes when I was 6 years old, by a black lab.
However, the reason it doesn't stand out as much when a lab bites than when a pittbull does, its because, statisically- pitbulls have been known to kill more people and animals in their attacks than any other breed, 2 to 1. Including unprevoked attacks on adults and children.
I'm not saying I'm for Pitbull banning. I am actually completely against it.
The problem with pitbulls is, the reason they are so vicious is just what you said... they are bred to be that way by unscrupulous owners and they are the main breed used in the brutal sport of dog fighting.
When in the capable hands of good and honest owners who give the dog a loving and nurturing home... you will find that pitt bulls are very loving and kind breeds.
it is a very touchy area- but I think there needs to be a tougher sanction on breeding and who they are adopted to. If we watch who is adopting this breed, we will start cutting down on the shady characters who want to use them for dog fighting, because these characters don't want to be under anyone's watchful eye. That's the only way we'll save this breed and prove that they really are "good dogs"
That's just my opinion.
Good post tho.

a million. many breeds have lines interior the breed; generally there's a branch between the teach canines and the working traces. The canines are comparable, yet working canines tend to be smarter and harder and greater pushed. because of the fact of this they do no longer make good abode pets because of the fact they have too plenty power and too a lot of a would desire to artwork. 2. it is not a secret language: those are the two suited canines; there are constantly some that are greater effectual than others. definitely there are canines from her breedings that can not be hog canines, yet she's probable to locate that when the hog kills the canines. I doubt she is going to have any canines in her kennel that can't hunt hogs. 3. it ability the canines would be confusing to maintain as pets because of the fact they have a effectual artwork ethic and particularly some power that the common puppy proprietor heavily isn't waiting to administration properly. it could additionally advise that the canines are quite aggressive and not tolerant of alternative animals. 4. definitely 5. which ability her canines are aggressive and choose directly to combat. that's is a factor of the APBT's ancestral inheritance: they have been used for handling farm animals at slaughterhouses and, after hours, for bull-baiting. while that replaced into banned, they have been matched against one yet another instead of against farm animals. APBT's are animal-aggressive and that they savour attempt against. that's what they are, and questioning that they are able to all be as calm and phlegmatic as Cesar Millan's "Daddy" or "Junior" is stupid. 6. in accordance with what you quote the breeder as asserting, definitely no longer. they'll kill the cats and any smaller canines because of the fact they are able to, and because you heavily isn't taking the canines searching the way it replaced into bred to stay. in case you elect a APBT, purchase one from a teach breeder who works his canines in obedience or rally or agility; they are going to be bodily and mentally sound, and would have plenty greater of a house puppy temperament.

I have a pit who's the kindest dog on earth, and I also have a hyperactive boxer/herder mix who's very sweet. My boxer mix is more likely to bite - he always tries to nip and play with his mouth, but if my pit were to ever bite someone it could be lethal - she has such a strong jaw and muscular physique. I doubt my other dog would be able to do as much damage.
I think its the potential that pits have to cause harm that gave them the bad rap in the 1st place, and now the fear has gotten completely irrational.

I agree, alot of dogs get a bad rep. I have had German Shepherds, and I love them. But they are rated as the dog most likely to bite. Hello, they are used by the police all the time and that is a huge factor. Its not all in the breed, but alot of it is, and the important thing is to not let that cloud anyone's judgement when selecting a dog. Judge the dog on its personality, not the reputation of the breed.

all that stuff you are saying is not true. any dog with teeth will bite you. and the meanest of the pits are the females and that is because that have to protect there young that is why the females are like that but the males are mean because that is how they have been raised but i have a pit and he is not mean but he know what i taught him and when i say attack that is what he does but it all depends on how they are raised, and that is with any dog

the reasons are simple. media is willing to put any story on the cover for anyone to react to it. be in fact or fiction.
pits in the news are ALWAYS associated to animal fights and or maulings and that's why they are classified immediately as vicious dogs.
all dogs are not vicious. people who say, "it's a bunch of crap when people say it's the dog, not the owner who made the dog aggressive." NOO!! IT IS THE OWNER'S FAULT THE DOG IS MEAN. he wasnt born mean you made him mean.
