Yes it is a free grace given to anyone who is willing to open his\her heart to invite the Lord into his life. But thereafter, the price he need to pay is to carry his own daily cross (persecutions, hardship, etc) till the Lord 2nd coming. There is no easy way out.

You are correct. The price is that by faith you also die to your sinful flesh considering it dead with Christ but we are by faith made new and will share in his resurrection. The Bible never said it would be easy and to the contrary tells of end time persecutions and even death. Christ could have sent ten thousand angels to spare him the cross yet he wasn't spared.
He is our example.

Life is just a blink of an eye compared to eternity. So suffer for a couple seconds and live forever or go through life easy and burn forever? Not a hard decision. God does promise hardships to test and strengthen us, but He also promises grace. He will only deal out to us what we can handle, and if we trust in Him and let Him deal with our pain He will take it and we wont have to worry about it. So really, if we just believe and let Him take over, we hardly go through any pain at all. The hard stuff comes when we try to do it ourselve.s

It's not going to be easy when you become a Christian. In fact, life could get even more difficult, but it's a test to see how you hold up. Will you remain faithful or turn your back on God. I'd rather have hardships in life and know if I remain faithful that I will not have to spend eternity in hell but in Heaven. Life is short compared to eternity.

Nope, but we receive the gift of everlasting life through Jesus Christ, and a blessed life while here on earth when we seek and follow Him! Yes it is hard, and will be hard, but we are too look forward to our real home, Heaven, with our Lord! God is more important than anything that is on this earth, for it will all pass away--- this life is temporary---we are simply "Passing through!"
"Rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed"

I really hope you live in China or Iran or something, because if you live in the Western world, I'll laugh my *** off at your "persecutions, hardship, etc."

The price to pay for being a Christian? That's simple. Living a lie and helping to destroy other people's lives in the name of that lie.

Your complete and total sacrifice i.e. you mortify the flesh or put it to death daily upon the altar which is your reasonable service to Yah. Romans 12:1

This is what it means to bear your cross. You must give up your life for him just as he did for you.

We must follow the Lord and the price may seem high. However, the Lord promises to never leave or forsake us.

You already took the easy way out if you are saved. Bearing a cross, so to speak, has alot to do with giving all you have to Christ in prayer and obedience to His Word. He said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." He doesn't give you more than you can carry.

The free gift of eternal life is available to all, but it requires that we deny ourselves some worldly pleasures and sacrifice ourselves to God. “And all who believe in God's Son have eternal life.
