Don't think i ever seen a blk dr, should I paint it blk or dark blue...house is light gray.

I`ve seen lots of them. Add a nice full glass storm in front of it and ya got a great solar furnace.

Gloss Black is good BUT Blue is a NO! What about a nice Dark Gloss Gray?? Good luck Les the painter

I knock on 10-12 doors a day. I have seen two. One looked great because it went with the look of the house. The other stuck out like a sore thumb.

Depends on where you live. In New England, black doors are common. My door is flat black. In Boston, on Beacon Hill, gloss black is common. But the brass kick plate across the bottom for the classy Bostonian look.

A glossy black would look good, but you would need to change your shutters or trim around your windows. You dont just want a black door in the middle of a grey box. Even if all you did was paint the trim around the windows black also, it would really give your house defining lines and depth. Just dont single out any one part of the house.

a hi gloss black door would look nice like onyx and makes the gray of the house really pop.
