You will grow up to be who you want to be. You gain wisdom through experience and time. You become old and angry if you find that you didn't become who you thought you should be. You should become who you are to be, not who you think you should be.

Most people seem to become more intensely the way they lived out their earlier lives.

How are you now? How do you treat others? Do you believe the world is against you? Are you a happy-go-lucky person?
Do you try to observe your world and learn from it? Do you hold grudges or make ultimatums? How is your language - do you speak politely, or is your speech peppered with explicatives?
Answer these questions and you're on a good start toward answering your question.
