I don't believe in God or an afterlife, but I believe in ghosts. Weird, huh?

As an agnostic, I endeavor never to "believe" anything, requiring proof in order to accept a concept or idea. Having said that, in the past and in an altered state of consciousness, I received or channeled an entity or deity whom I (?) named AurL and who, among other characters, inspired a novel which I wrote; although I currently consider my "memoir" a fantasy, I still also tend to recognize AurL as a Magus or Superbeing on occasion -- a truly irrational "belief" for a skeptic such as I am...

ok, you asked. I believe that drug companies just invent diseases so that they can sell medicines. They make these commercials that have these very general symptoms that describe this "disease" and then someone out there sees it, thinks they have it, and voila! They get the medicine. Pharmaceutical companies are duping the public with things such as restless leg syndrome, PMDD, and other things. Also, they don't really want to find cures for diseases. Why would they do that? It would put them out of business. So they instead manufacture these medicines that supposedly treat these diseases but also cause a whole slew of other side effects so that you have to go out and get other medicines to treat all the other side effects. Its a multi billion dollar industry. But every time I talk about it everyone rolls their eyes and says oh boy, here she goes again.

I believe that there are people walking around with no faith in God. Yes, yes, I know it is irrational and unbelievable in this day and age, but you asked!
The number 13 is only fearful if you don't know the real reason. The real reason that people are afraid of the number 13 is that Jesus appointed 12 disciples. When they sat together at the Last Supper, he was arrested, beaten, whipped, spit upon, chained, flogged, then hung on a cross just a few hours later. He was the the 13th man at the table.

Serena, I'm with you there. I'm so tired of all the labels they give everything today. Restless leg syndrome??? Give me a break! I've suffered from this all my life. I chalk it up to un-spent energy and get up and walk around awhile. It's inconvenient, but I'm not going to take a magic pill to get rid of it.
I don't think my belief is irrational, but others do. It makes me very sad to think of all the people who die of cancer every day when they don't have to. We have a cure, but it can't be patented, so the FDA outlaws it. If I'm going to die of a disease, I don't think the law has any right telling me what I can do to try to cure it and live.

That one day we all be able to accept everyone else regardless of their beliefs.
Well, that and I'm pretty sure there is an army of penguins gathered and preparing to destroy the world as we know it.
Which one is more irrational to you?

That when I walk up my stairs tentacles will sprout out under them and kill me. It`s creepy, I also have an unhealthy fear of zombies. Completely illogical and stupid, I know.

That all people are inheriently good. I know the evidence points to the contrary but it's what I beleive, the only thing that I have "faith" in.

I have a irrational belief that people would accept the truth when they hear it. It is deeply troubling to me.
