Egypt is not just sand and camels, i visited it last year and it is realy a magnigicent place, camels just for entertaining tourists, people there are very very nice, streets are very safe at all times, and it's realy very civilized country.

It is a hot country with camels where a long time ago pyramids were built, hyroglyphics were used, Isrealites were kept as slaves, and Mary and Joseph took Jesus there to keep him safe as an infant. Joseph son of Jacob also helped the pharoh there. Through it flows the Nile river which flows North. I cannot think of anything else.
