I just got accepted to Kent State University in Ohio. I am from Texas, and love the cold hence my desire to go to ohio. However i know its going to be a bit colder then im used to. So what exactly do people wear in Ohio during the winter?

Layers are best wear a t shirt then long sleeves over or a sweater. then a light jacket like a hoody then a heavier coat. Hats gloves and scarfs are always good. A good pair of boots and heavy socks.

A friend of mine moved from Florida to Michigan, and bought a heavy coat, scarf, gloves and boots in Florida and found out they were totally inadequate for the cold there, so if you buy those things, do it in Ohio. You would need a heavy winter coat, preferably one that comes down to your thighs and fastens closely around your neck. A long scarf, woolen hat, calf-high boots and gloves would complete it. The previous suggestion of heavy socks was a good one. Oh, and welcome to Ohio.

get yourself some long underwear. Dress in layers cause your gonna freeze your bootie off. A winter coat is a must and be sure to get warm socks and waterproof boots. remember if your head and feet are warm you are less apt to get cold.
