can`t figure out how the tensioner is released?

13 mm wrench from underneath. Need to remove the splash shield. The alternator comes out from the bottom as well. The lower engine mount will need to be unbolted and the engine moved about 2 inches to front. The big pain is to remove the studs that the alternator is mounted with. The nuts come off easy but the alternator isnt going anywhere while the studs are in. Snap-on has a tool for it....other than that you'll have to just fight em with vise-grips. Is why the job pays like 3 hours!!

You can get a Chilton's manual, or Haynes manual. To release the tensioner, I believe you use an allen wrench and twist it to release the belt.

Maybe check with a local Autozone, they have Z-net and may be able to print you the instructions!
