stretching it sometimes makes them worse, but i still ran a 2:16 800m and a 5:10 1600m within an hour as a freshmen.

i dont think its from nutrition, i think its started from running on hard surfaces.

Drink plenty of water, you may have a potassium shortage. Eating bananas will not help much you might need to take supplements. Warm up well, cool down, then stretch, do not over stretch especially if you are cramping

Are you hydrating properly cramps in your sides are actually cause by dehydration, other cramps can be overuse or not stretching properly, when you stratch hold, dont bounce, for at least 45 seconds, warm up before then stret h all muscle grous to be worked. And hydrate, if it persists see a doctor there may be an underlying condition.

Increase potassium in your diet banana's
also a little more sodium
Try sport drink that has potassium in it.

It could be that the muscle is weak so you might want to see a Physio

Dont try to stretch them so much at a time, try to take a little more time to stretch and go a little slower in loosening the muscle,
