I don't make very much money, and it seems that in order to get good nutrition, you have to spend a lot of money on all these different foods (fruits, veggies, meats, ect) where i come from, Ramen Noodles is a meal. How can i have a good diet without breaking the bank?

A few suggestions:
- Meat tends to be expensive; most vegetables, grains, and other plant food is cheaper.
- Less processed food tends to be both cheaper and healthier.
- However, cooking with less processed foods tends to be more work. Make a large batch on Sunday that can serve for serveral meals.
- Frozen vegetables are usually just as healthy as fresh, and are easier to store (don't have to worry about them going bad) and cook with.

Sample cheap, healthy food: Lentil and vegetable soup with rice or barley, and perhaps a little meat.

On a whole, the American people eat more meat than just about any other country in the world. Healthy diets call for less meat, more veges and rice or yams instead of potatoes. If Ramen is a staple for you , than simply add some things to it:

1. Tuna
2. Frozen veges
3. Chicken breast
4. Tofu
5. Cheese

Plan your menu for each day and consider making a meal that will give you leftovers for another meal or two. Beans, lentils and such will provide you with good protein and last a while as well. Watch out for foods that are high sodium and high sugar and keep your meats to a minimum. Spend your money on fresh fruit instead.

It's tough - check out the sales ads and stock up on fresh or frozen veggies/fruits, lean protein (chicken, turkey, fish, even tuna fish) including eggs and cottage cheese. Many cities have discount stores where your dollar goes farther.

Stay away from processed foods - very high in sodium and those "unpronounce-able" ingrediants!

Easy.

Prepare a sandwich comprised of a large number of cucumber and a little meat to your budget (ham/egg/tuna).

Cucumber is also an abundant source of fiber and vitamin C, it can helps with your digestion and overall your body immune system.

Cucumber itself makes a good diuretic ingredient. I would personally prefer more vegetables such as tomato, lettuce and fruit: banana.

I believe those are cheap stuff you can use without breaking your budget.

well being frougal is something we all do: i hope this helps out and it's a variety for cheap budgets:
Top a tortilla with turkey, ham or other lunch meat and slice of cheesse then roll up and dip in pasta sauce!
Potatoes are cheap and can be made into a wonderful meal
Chili is cheap and different ways to create
rice, red beans, Sloppy joes,Taco Salad

Hmm, maybe try some stir fried veggies. i`m sure you have a pot, the vegetables and some spices & sauces. Also go look up some cheap yet nutritious meals on cooks.com :]

Make soup. You get your meat or beans for protein, veggies, pasta or rice for carbs and you can stretch it out to make more servings.
