Depending on where you live...easily $1,000. My cake was similar to yours but did not have the top two smaller layers and it fed 230 people. It cost $850.00. If you get butter cream frosting it will cost less than the fondant (that cakes look like it's covered with fondant...you can tell by how neatly spread it is). When it comes to cakes, you'll pay by the slice. When you are considering 350 people, a baker that charges $3.00 per slice will charge you approximately $1,050.00. Also check for extra charges such as flowers (if you have the fresh flowers in your design), delivery charges (some bakers include the price in the per slice amount, others don't), and slicing charges. YES! You read it right...either your baker or your caterer will have to slice the cake to serve the guests. There are cake slicing fees. My caterer did it free of charge, but I understand this is not the norm. I am planning my cousin's wedding and she has to pay $1 per slice to her baker.
If you really want that cake go for it. I really loved my cake and think that the money was well spent. If you are on a budget...consider having the baker make that exact cake but in a smaller size (say one that feeds 100 people) and ask for her to make you sheet sized cakes (which will be hidden away somewhere...kitchen area or something) and guests will never see. You can save a few hundred dollars this way and still get a cake that looks the way you want it to look like!

When you consider time, the cost of the ingrediants, the amount of oven time, you need to look at close to $3.00 per person or more. If its a simple cake, mostly made from sheet cakes, and light on decorative touches, then you can charge less. Otherwise, don't sell yourself short and charge an amount that is fair.

Don't spend that kind of money. Get a wedding cake large enough to feed the wedding party. Then for the rest of the guests, go to Costco or Sam's Club and buy enough of their sheet cakes to feed everyone else.

Most bakers charge by the slice it ranges from 1.25-3.00 a slice. Depends where you get it. That is a relatively easy cake to make but most bakers don't take that into consideration.
