I personally resent the accusation that those of us who oppose the ILLEGAL immigrants are "bigots" and "racists". That is far from the truth. The issue is LEGALITY not RACE. If anyone is racist it's the hate groups such as La Raza, etc.. who're tools of the Communist Party USA to destroy our country.
The issue is this. These people are BREAKING OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS by sneaking across the border instead of following procedure and applying to come here on work visa's, etc.. If they FOLLOW THE RULES and OBEY OUR LAWS they would be MORE than welcomed here. Even the LEGAL immigrants are angry over these people coming across the border illegally.
I have neighbors who're Mexican immigrants. They came here LEGALLY and have had no problems assimilating into society. They're very angry at the illegals who come here and commit heinous crimes along the border, angry at illegals who drive drunk elsewhere in our country and kill innocent people on our highways, angry at illegals flooding our hospital emergency rooms and causing a tremendous burden on our medical infrastructure, etc.. Over 9,000 AMERICANS are killed every year by illegal aliens coming across and committing acts of murder, rape, vandalism, etc.. These bad folks give the GOOD immigrants who want to work and make a better life for their families an undeserved bad image. I'm all for them having a better life, but let them come here LEGALLY. That's all we are asking.

Nobody gets the image they really want from a hatchet piece. So some fringe politician gets nailed with accusations of associating with bigots. What has that got to do with supporting the Rule of Law? Nothing.
But, false accusations of racism will continue as long as they're allowed to cloud the issue.

Everyone is a hate group according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. the blacks have their "black pride", the mexicans have their "latino pride" and burns american flags. Why can't Tancredo support the enforcement of our laws and have "American pride"? Liberals have such a double standard.
