Before you plant the vegetable seeds in excercise 5, you need to add topsoil to a depth of 3 inches (0.25 feet) in the vegetable bed. If topsoil comes in bags of 2.5 cubic feet, how many bags of topsoil will you need to buy?

The answer to the previous question was 80 SEEDS. How do I do it?

You need to know the area you will be covering with topsoil. The multiply that by the depth (0.25ft) then divide by 2.5 and round up. Make sure you measure your area in square feet

You need to know the dimensions of your garden.

If the dimensions of your garden are L ft x W ft, then 3 inches (0.25 ft) of soil depth will require L x W x 0.25 cubic feet of soil. Since the soil comes in 2.5 cu ft bags then you would need (L x W x 0.25)/2.5 bags of soil
